Hello everyone!
My name is Yeji Lim, and I am an accredited Korean tutor.
When I began teaching Korean, I could not put myself in my students’ shoes. I did not understand why they make a grammatical error or use the wrong words. However, as I have started learning a foreign language by myself, I began to understand my students. It is actually hard for adults to learn languages compared to younger kids learning the language. Although I have been studying really hard, there were times that I still could not memorize words or make a grammatical error. It is difficult when you cannot express what you want to say in words. These experiences enabled me to understand my students better.
I think many students hesitate to start learning Korean because they are not confident in speaking. Don’t be afraid! Here’s the teacher who can understand you well! :D I also have met great teachers and had fun learning a new language. If I can, you can do it! Let’s have fun and learn Korean in a relaxed environment!
