Nice to meet you. My name is KANON, YING. I'm from Japan.
I started studying Chinese on my own at the age of 19 and continued to do so as a hobby. I went on a working holiday in Taiwan in 2020.
I wrote this message in Japanese x Chinese so that many of you who wish to speak Japanese freely can read it.
Please feel free to send me a message.
-------【About living in Taipei, Taiwan and the experiences gained there】-------
Q Do you have any Japanese-speaking friends?
...During my time in Taipei, I met many Taiwanese people who wanted to learn Japanese. This was when I was visiting on a working holiday.
However, at the time I had no experience of making friends by speaking Chinese.
一I was the only Japanese speaker there. I had high expectations that everyone would teach me Japanese.
QIf you were travelling to Japan today, can you imagine what kind of conversation would you have in Japanese?
..Actually, I never imagined what kind of conversations I would have until I visited Taiwan and met the people there.
Can you think of any?
-------【Message for you】-------
There's no need to worry if you're not able to speak it or know the language at all.
I studied Chinese alone for five years. But I didn't have the courage to make friends and the only way was to read texts.
I don't want you to have the same way of studying alone all the time as I did before.
First of all, get used to conversation. Just chat easily, as you would when you come to Japan and make friends.
That's all! These are my messages to students haha
Thank you for reading my profile. I would love to hear your thoughts, your experiences abroad and many other stories.
-------【For those new to learning Japanese】-------
・I am currently able to speak simple Chinese, which I learnt in Taiwan.
Depending on the student's needs, I can incorporate Chinese into the lesson content.
