Thank you for taking an interest in my lessons and opening my profile page!!
Nice to meet you all! I have completed the Japanese Language Teacher Training Course and passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test. Since then, I have been teaching Japanese at companies or Japanese language schools for more than 10 years.
I've seen a lot of students learning Japanese, and I've noticed that there are some people who can speak well and others who can't express themselves very well even though they study in the same way. It saddens me when I see those who study for long hours every day for the JLPT certification, but still can't express their thoughts as they wish.
The keys to improving your conversational skills are to construct a lot of sentences and say them out loud, over and over again. "Understanding" is not the "goal", but it is the "start". It is important to practice after you understand. (It is the same as marriage being a start, not a goal...) You have to practice over and over again until you can say the phrases without even thinking. Try to listen and read as much Japanese as you can from other sources besides textbooks, such as sources that are interesting to you, and give you more opportunities to speak or write.
It takes time and patience to learn a language. If you can, it is better to expose yourself to Japanese every day (Ideally, 15 minutes every day for beginners and one hour every day for intermediate and advanced students...). If you have a passion to enjoy the Japanese language, you'll be alright!! Because the best way to improve your language skill is to have fun learning it!!
If you like Japanese culture, anime, TV dramas, and the like, and if you love speaking Japanese, those feelings will motivate you to study every day and you will be able to continue to study Japanese without getting bored. Don't be afraid to make mistakes when learning something new. You will be able to enjoy speaking with Japanese people with a positive mind.
In my lessons, you will have a positive experience "enjoying Japanese" as well as "learning Japanese". I will help students build confidence in their Japanese skills and lead them to the next step. I will use a lot of original materials in each lesson.
Rhythm and tempo are important in conversation, so we won't waste any time during our lesson. I will present you with a variety of exercises in listening, speaking, and reading at a good pace in order to improve your Japanese language skills comprehensively. ("Written" exercises are often assigned as homework.)
If you have any requests for lessons, please don't hesitate to let me know.
(Lessons may not always perfectly meet your needs, but I will try my best to accomodate and tailor to your needs as mush as possble.)
