Hello! I am Carmen, a Certified Spanish Teacher and DELE Official Examiner with a wide experience teaching Spanish in academies, high schools and online. I am from Madrid (Spain). I have lived out of Spain for some years in beautiful and interesting cities like Oxford (UK) and Tokyo (Japan), but now I am back in Madrid. My mother tongue is Spanish and I am fluent in English.

I have a Master´s Degree in Education, a Master´s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, and I am a Certified DELE Examiner.
Motivation and background
My passions are traveling, learning new cultures and meeting people from different countries. This is why I have lived outside of Spain: one year in Tokyo and two years in Oxford.
During my time in Japan, I had an amazing experience teaching Spanish to Japanese and Chinese students in several academies, which is why I like to keep in contact with this beautiful country.
In Oxford, I have had the immense luck to work as a Spanish Teacher in two world-class schools: Magdalen College School (ranked 6th in the UK by The Sunday Times Schools Guide 2020), and Headington School, house of several famous students such as Harry Potter’s Emma Watson!
My teaching
For me, every student is unique, so I always adapt my lessons to your preferences and needs. Since I am also a certified DELE examiner, I can help you preparing your DELE exam! I have a large amount of resources, and I will provide you with the most helpful ones for your preparation.
As a teacher, it is very important for me to make you feel comfortable and enjoy the lesson. I am organized, respectful, patient and dynamic. My main objective is that you learn in a relaxed and enjoyable environment J
My basic lesson structure is: 1. Review of the previous lesson 2. New material 3. Extra activity / game / feedback. But, of course, we can always modify the lesson structure according to your interests and needs and level.
I use different online resources for my lessons such as: digital books, presentations, text documents, audios, videos, flash cards, exam papers, newspaper articles and magazine articles. I will always send you all the materials used during the lesson. I will also share with you more resources if needed or if you want some extra work.
I would love to be your Spanish teacher, so please book a trial lesson with me if you feel like it. We will meet each other and talk about your goals and preferences regarding the lessons. I am sure we will enjoy and have fun learning Spanish together.
