Japanese Student's English Test Scores

Tracy R.

Hello Everyone!

I came across this article about Japanese school students English test scores. Have you seen the results?

https://mainichi.jp/english/articles/20190801/p2a/00m/0na/016000c

I think it's very interesting and the author writes about some of the solutions that have been proposed. I'm a big fan of not just teaching grammar but also teaching about the culture that speaks the language. It makes learning a language not only more fun and intersting, but widens a child's worldview and also helps them see why they need the foreign language.

What do you think should be changed about the Japanese English learning system? You can let me know in the comments below or you can request a lesson and we can discuss this article and your ideas!

Have a great day!
