Stay Home Activities

With the pandemic still on the loose, we are encouraged to stay home to prevent the spread of the virus.

How do you make staying at home fun and productive?

WORK OUT
Before this situation, I engaged a personal trainer to do a 30-minute workout twice a week. Since we cannot have a face-to-face meeting, we have moved to the virtual world. He sends me workout routines and on training days, I will video call him so he can guide me through each exercise.

How do you keep yourself healthy?

INTENTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
I cannot meet up with friends or family members who are not living in the same house. It is almost a month now. For those who are used to going out with friends, isolation is hard! So I am thankful that I chanced upon various communication applications. Organizing calls with friends is fun! The good thing about these calls is that you can chat with friends that you normally don't see. So YAY!

How do you communicate with your friends and family?


CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES
I bought a few stickers for my 1.5 year old to play with. This activity taught him to strengthen his fine motor skill, which is important to develop for his future pencil grip and so on.

We also made a sensory bin using expired, uncooked pasta or rice for fun.

Last of all, we also had a few baking / cooking sessions together.
