Entertainment. To entertain means to make someone interested in what you are doing, usually in a positive, pleasant way. What entertains you? Some people like to watch a movie, or scroll through their notifications on social media, or perhaps meet up with a friend in a local pub. Other people like performances by singers and musicians, while some like watching the sports on TV or live (pronounced lai -ve) in a stadium. Physical activity entertains still others, by training, competing and getting stronger.
Can we be too entertained? (Active: Can something entertain us too much?) Entertainment uses our time, and the more entertained we are, the more time we usually use. If we were constantly entertained, would we do anything?
I guess entertainment is sometimes used as a relief from the daily stresses of life. Entertainment can offer that respite from reality, most especially in literary and movie fiction.
What entertains me? I like to read and watch the occasional movie. When I can, I like to work out :D and meet and talk to people. In moderation, entertainment is good for the soul
