Road Trip in Australia 2022

Weekly Topic: Have you had the chance to travel this year?

Nov 23, 2022 | 1 Comments

Dear students, have you had the chance to travel this year?

After two years of travel restrictions caused by the Pandemic, things are slowly restarting and the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally has arisen back.
During 2022 I moved back to Australia, traveled to Singapore, Malaysia, and I just got back from a 20 days trip in Australia.

I am an avid traveler and I was overjoyed to have checked such an important trip out of my bucket list!
My partner and I started to talk about this road trip a couple of years ago, and it felt like a mirage, but we made it! We bought a FWD car, a lot of cheap camping equipment and off we went to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park over 2000 km away from home, in the center of the country, a part called “Red Center”.

Our road trip was on a budget, so we decided to buy a car and stick to camping all the way through since we already had a tent. This kept our travel expenses low and helped us to achieve this big dream. I loved this experience, traveling by car gives you the opportunity to discover many more places. We adventure yourselves onto unpaved tracks in the Australian outback, the feeling of freedom in the air, together with too many flies and mosquitos.

Some of my favorite places explored;

  • Coober Pedy

  • Kings Canyon

  • Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park

  • Painted Desert

  • Henbury Meteorite Conservation Park

  • The Breakaways

You will write more articles related to my travel experience on the Tutor's Column soon. I'd like to share more about this amazing trip and I am looking forward to some questions in the comment section. If you like you can also meet me in my Travel Talks Lesson to chat about traveling and the world!
