On March 19, the Kazakh community of Tokyo celebrated Nauryz or the Kazakh New Year. In fact, in Kazakhstan, Nauryz is celebrated today, March 22.

This holiday is important for everyone in our community. We get together, make new friends, play national games, dance and sing our national songs, and eat our traditional food. This time we forget all our problems and have a great time together. These celebrations are important when you are far from your home country, away from your relatives and close friends. Japan is a wonderful country with laws and regulations in place, but sometimes I miss the vibes of my nation.
