Beach vs. Pool. The beauty in each

Weekly Topic: Beach vs. pool: which do you prefer?

Danielle W.

I remember argumentative essays from my secondary school days. And this topic made me think of that!
We'll discuss the pros and cons of each. Both the pool and the beach. Then in the end I shall conclude with my decision on my favorite...

Let's start with the POOL...

... The benifits of pools are our first order of business. A pool provides security, as there is often a perimeter and stairs with a rail, as seen above, that allows swimmers to grab onto it if they encounter in any difficulty. There is also a marker that indicates depth, to further prevent incidents that jeprodize safety. Pools are almost always routinely cleaned and are usually near a home, hotel or restaurant. Making them the ideal place to relax and enjoy a luxurious day. The dowsides that I find are mainly in the quality of the water. Since pools often contain chlorine, it has an odd smell and sometimes this creates an illusion of cleanlines. This can result is feeling sick when ingesting water or getting any funguses from being in an around pools. It does kill most bacteria and the role of it is very appreciate.

Now on to the BEACH...

... The pros if the beach are the natural nature of this body of water. It's self cleaning due to the salt content, even though this will also make you  feel ill if swallowed just like pool water. The environs are often gorgeous, with sunsets over the horizon, as pictured above, and trees. Oh and the sand, my personal favorite. I love building sand castles, no matter how much I've grow up over the years. The sea creatures scare me a bit but they add life to the experience. Now the cons, as opposed to pools, there is an incredible lack of safety. As my Gran Gran says, "the sea has no back door". So although the water's salt content is great for lay floating, you can easily float away and if you can't swim it'll be hard to survive. A student once told me that surrendering to the ocean is a great survival technique, you must be properly trained in this, to ensure your survival...

... So conclusions, my personal preference is the beach. As a person who lives in the tropics on an island. I just love the natural aspect of the ocean and the sheer beauty in the vastness of this body of water that connects us all on this planet. It holds up continents and islands. While in synce with the moon, the ocean plays a huge role in the balance here on earth.

What is your personal favorite and why? You can alway discuss with me!
