Animal Content Untaught in English Textbooks
Description
You might think you know all of the things you need to know about animals, but think again! I'm sure most students could identify a dog, cat, octopus, and so on. But here as some questions that most student cannot answer even if they are proficient in English...
What is a cat's hand called?
What is a group of fish called?
What does it mean for an animal to "get fixed"?
What sound does a pig make (can write it)?
What is the specific word for bird meat (it isn't "chicken")?
There are many things that are never discussed in standard English textbooks and I am ready to tackle them with my students. It seems so bizarre when a student of English is so proficient with the language and then they suddenly say something about an animals "clothes" or "fingers". Do not let this happen to you. Take my class!
