As quick as a flash, your English sentences will improve!
Description
Normally in English an adverb comes after a verb to describe the verb in greater detail. However, did you know that you can use adverbs and adverb phrases to actually start your sentences? You may have heard them referred to as fronted adverbials.
Knowing how to add adverbs and adverb phrase openers will give you new options for starting your sentences and will help you to make your writing and speaking more coherent and interesting.
What to expect in the lesson:
- Warm up: Matching adverbs
- Presentation: Adverb phrases shown as sentence starters with basic sentences as examples.
- Practice: Reading and listening including little memory tests / Picture prompts for guided sentence building
- Procuction: In this phase of the lesson, you will be guided to create your sentences based on your own ideas and life situation.
