La clase comienza con un ejercicio de comprensión, en el que se identifican cuatro expresiones informales chilenas y se les atribuye sus significados (gracias, de nada, entiendo y no entiendo). Posteriormente, se ve material audiovisual para reconocer nuevas formas de decir estos mensajes.
Finalmente, se practica el uso de estas expresiones en contexto y se termina con una discusión al respecto del vocabulario nuevo.
