In this lesson, we will go over the explainations and work on the practice questions from the popular "Grammar in Use" series from Cambridge. We will also work on constructing constructing sentences together to help solidify grammar points.

Professional Good for in-depth study Caters to your level

テキストを使用しながらレベルに合わせて文法を分かりやすく教えてくれました。例文をつくったり、実際の自分に置き換えて言い換えることで定着できるようにサポートしてくれます。とても優しい先生でレッスンも楽しいです。レッスン後もテキストを見て復習できるので、基礎からしっかり勉強できます。

Another fruitful lesson with Rhys.Teaching grammar to non-native speakers must be tough,especially to someone who keeps asking,"How come?" like me.However,Rhys always prepares very well for our lesson. Today,he kindly sent me links to a website and YouTube so that will help me understand the grammartical item. 文法は時に理解するのに時間がかかるので、自分でテキストを読んで学んでいくこともできますが、リース先生のレッスンで説明文や例文を音読し意味を確認し質問をする中で「なるほど！」と思えることが毎回あります。今日も疑問に思っていたことがクリアになって嬉しかったです。いつもきちんと準備して私の質問にも誠実にこたえて下さいます。今回はいくつか文章を作ってみたので、あとでチェックして頂くことになっています。

Good for in-depth study Friendly Courteous and thorough

最初からネットのトラブルでご迷惑をおかけしました。今日はsomeとanyの一歩進んだ使い方を学びました。私がPCを立ち上げ直したりしたりして時間が少なくなってしまったので、先生が臨機応変にテキストを一語一句読むことをせず、私が理解しているだろうと判断されたところは軽く流して、引っかかりそうなポイントを押さえて説明してくださいました。予習をした際に読んでも頭に入らなかった箇所があったので、先生に例文を出して頂いたり自分でシチュエーションを考えて先生に確認することで納得することができました。細かいことや時に少し脱線して質問してしまいますが、先生はいつも真摯に対応してくださいます。

I talked to Rhys for the first time in a month. I often request a few things to do for one lesson. Today’s lesson was just like a gift box with assorted cookies. After we caught up on each other’s lives&news, I asked him a few questions from the movie I watched and the book I’ve been reading. Then we played a word game. After that, we ran through a picture description quickly.Rhys is always generous to accept my random requests but I was afraid of my being acquisitive and I asked him too much for one lesson.However, Rhys kindly sent me a message which said he would be ready for all of them, so I felt reassured and looked forward to our lesson so much. It’s always pleasant to chat with Rhys, who is compassionate, reasonable and committed to his work.　久しぶりにリース先生とお話できて本当に楽しかったです。時間の流れと自粛生活の成果が見られ同時にお元気そうで何よりでした。いつも以上にあれこれ違ったことをお願いしてしまいましたが、快くリクエストに応じて下さいました。こういうご時世でも長年お世話になっている先生が変わらずいて下さるという安心感を噛み締めました。

大人になってから英語で書かれたテキストを使ってネイティブの先生と英文法を学ぶことを決心するのに少し時間が必要でした。でも長いことお世話になっているリース先生に英語（時には日本語で）質問をすることで、新たに知ることだけでなく今まで勘違いしていたことや学校で教わったことが、必ずしも正確ではないことに気づかされます。レッスン内容の詳細には書かれていないテキストを使うことを承諾してくださったことに対してまずお礼を申し上げます。そして他にも多くの生徒さんを持っている多忙な先生ですが、いつも事前の準備を怠らず時にウェブサイトを調べてより正確な情報を提供してくださいます。学生時代は定期試験のため、受験のため、資格試験のために仕方なく勉強していた文法ですが、大人になってからは興味あるニュースやドラマや洋書を理解するための楽しい学びになっています。文法を専門にしている先生もいらっしゃると思いますが、あらゆる意味で私はリース先生と一緒に勉強できることが楽しいです。
