Samples of difficulty levels:
  • Beginner: The Irish courts decided that Subway’s bread is not bread. This is because it contains too much sugar. There is a limit to how much sugar can be in bread for it to be tax-free. This is because other foods could pretend to be bread and not pay tax.
  • Intermediate: The bread used for sandwiches at Subway is not bread. This is according to the Irish Supreme Court. In Ireland, some of the main foods people eat are not taxed. The foods which aren’t taxed are the staple foods that people need. There are many foods which aren’t taxed but some of the foods include bread, milk, cheese and meat.
  • Advanced: Subway, the largest restaurant chain in the world, which is famous for its choose your own sandwiches, has been told that its bread cannot be classified as actual bread. The decision comes from the Irish Supreme Court.
