Description

Objectives: Identify and name the nouns
                   Classify the nouns
                   Write all the nouns

Materials: blank paper and coloured pencils
               
Step 1: Can you name the pictures below?

 

Apples, Eiffel Tower and bees are nouns. Nouns can be a place, object, animal or person.

Step 2: Questioning

          Which is your favourite animal?
          Which places do you like to visit?
          What do you like to eat?

Draw us - Let us each draw our favourite food and we will show each other. 

Step 3: Naming: Is it a person, place or thing?

Let us sort the nouns. We will play a small game to know whether it is a place, person or thing.

Step 4: Classification of nouns
What you have seen in the activity above is about the classification of nouns.

1. The name of a person is called as a naming word.  

Mummy, Daddy, Brother, Sister, Boy girl Richard, Jennifer, are also called as naming words. 


2. The name of the place is also called as naming word. 

Playground, school, hospital, home, park.  


3. The tigers, lions, giraffes, birds, all are called as naming words.  

4. The pencil, pen, school bag, water bottle, train, trolley all these are also called as naming words.
