- Students will practice using functional phrases in real-life scenarios.
- Students will develop fluency and confidence in polite interactions.
Materials:
- Whiteboard or projector
- Printed dialogue cards (optional)
- Audio clips of polite requests/offers (optional)
- Role-play situation cards
Warm-up (10 minutes):
- Introduce Functional Language:
- Ask students if they’ve ever had to ask for something politely or offer help in English.
- Discuss how using polite language can make interactions smoother and friendlier.
- Explain that today’s lesson will focus on language used to request things, offer help, and respond to both.
