Learning the basics of how to count in music

Description

This lesson will entail learning the basics of different notes and their time values. 

The student will learn about the difference between quarter notes, half notes, whole notes, eighth notes and sixteenth notes, both in written form and in counting protocol.

One whole note = 2 half notes = 4 quarter notes = 8 eighth notes = 16 sixteenth notes.

These various notes will be shown on staff paper, while being explained.  

Afterwards, exercises will be given on staff paper to help the student practice and see the difference between the time value of these notes.
