In this lesson, we are going to broaden your knowledge and understanding of English vocabulary used in the arts industry.

Description

It’s time to deepen existing passions and knowledge and get lost in art and creativity!


For this lesson, I will first provide you with some material you can read prior to our online meeting. We will then use the articles / texts in our lesson as a base to discuss different subjects and artists.

Or, if you prefer, you are more than welcome to send me some articles or material of your choice that I will be more than happy to analyse with you!
 
At the end of each lesson, I will provide you with a set of notes you can use to keep practising at home to help you improve your skills and knowledge.


What you will learn:
  • You will develop critical thinking skills to understand how artists and designers respond to the social and cultural issues of their time;
  • You will gain confidence in looking at and talking about modern and contemporary art and design, and find inspiration from art all around you;
  • You will grow a deeper understanding regarding the processes utilised by professional artists, including different modes of experimentation and responses to technological innovation.

This class is highly recommended for intermediate and advanced students who wish to expand their vocabulary and grow their confidence as well as developing their critical thinking skills.

  • Less than 6hours before lesson start time.→ 100% of price charged.
  • Between 6-12hours before lesson start time.→ 50% of price charged.
  • No-Show→ 100% of price charged.
