Hello everyone! My name is Giulia and I'm an Italian tutor living in Japan.

I was born and raised in Pisa (Tuscany region) but my family is originally from Sardinia, a beautiful island in the Mediterranean Sea.

For several years I lived in the big city of Milan, which I consider my second home.

In April 2022 I moved to Tokyo, where I'm studying Japanese and trying to create a new life for myself.

Having lived in different parts of Italy, I have a unique perspective of Italian culture and lifestyle, which I want to pass on to my students!

MY LESSONS AND TEACHING STYLE

My lessons are:

  • tailored to my students; according to their goals and personalities.
  • culturally immersive

My teaching material: 

  • I use a lot of real Italian resources! For examples: 
                  -real conversations between native speakers 
                  -news and magazine articles 
                  -podcasts, interviews
                  -online ads and reviews
                           
  • Games and creative activities  
  • Extracts from movies and novels
  • ...etcetera!

My experience:

-From March 2022, I'm following a training course to become a teacher of Italian as a foreign language.

-As part of my training, I have taught online classes to students from many different countries and cultures. 

-I have experience with students of all levels, from absolute beginner to advanced.

Who I teach: EVERYONE is welcome! My classes are an inclusive space where you can be yourself and have fun learning Italian.

I have a calm personality, and I prefer to enjoy life slowly. On the other hand, I was also born with a great curiosity, so I like to try new things and interact with different types of people.
