Hi, nice to meet you!
My name is Yukiko Uehara, and I am a trumpet tutor.
I am currently teaching in the south of Germany.
I am teaching trumpet, euphonium and horn to students of all ages from 5 to 64 years old, both online and in person, and I am constantly working on my research.
The goal of my lessons is to make learning fun.
The trumpet is an instrument that stands out if you make a mistake, but it feels great to play in a band or an orchestra!
I know that there are many people who cannot practice as much as they would like due to the influence of corona, but in my lessons, I aim to make learning fun by discussing with you how to organize your daily practice and what you are struggling with.
For beginners who can't read music at all, there will be a lecture on how to read music, play simple songs and warm up without reading music the score.
For advanced students who are struggling with their embouchure and musical expression, I would like to offer my own advice based on a method based on the idea of Arnold Jacobs' "Song & Wind".
For those who want to play high notes but have difficulty doing so, we will work on basic exercises and practice pieces while analyzing where your weaknesses are and what you need to practice.
If you find that your finger movements and tanking movements don't match up anymore and you end up messing up, I will teach you someexercises on finger movements and breath & tongue movements that are perfect for that.
