John S. Tutor Profile

This tutor is currently on leave.
Hi! My name is John. I currently live in the United States. I have taught English in various settings, which include at a business college in Japan, at a private school for young children, a one-on-one basis, etc.

My educational background includes a degree in Japanese, Science, as well as a year studying abroad at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies through the Japanese Ministry of Education.

I have lived in Japan for a total of nearly eight years, so I am familiar with Japanese culture and customs. In addition, my primary job for the last decade has been to localize software for companies in Japan for the English market. I also have extensive experience in translation and editing for marketing purposes.

If you are interested in improving your conversation or grammar skills, having your documents proofread for a client, or need help with translating text to get a product to market, I would love to hear from you!
