Description
I have an MA degree from Western Ontario University in Ontario, Canada, in History of Philosophy. I am specialized in Early Modern European Philosophy, particularly in the 16th-17th centuries. Among the canonical figures, I am comfortable at talking about Aristotle, Descartes, Leibniz, Locke and Kant. My speciality is on medical philosophy in the 16th-17th centuries. Such topics may include humoural theory, corpse medicine, medicinal cannibalism, embryology and alchemy. I have given presentations on the medicinal cannibalism, philosophy of witchcraft, the Haitian zombies, and Caresian metaphysics as well as on Ninja Science in pre-modern Japan.
I am broadly educated and I have an experience of grading as well as editing academic papers at university level. I will need you to tell me what you need help with and what books you are reading before the class in the trial lesson so I can prepare for the help you need. You can also send me your essays that need to be proofread and editted - I will need at most a week to get back to you if we are doing essay-editting.
